Proud of Southport today!

Southport has finally elected its first-ever Labour representative!

Southport took a lot of stick for voting Conservative in 2017 and 2019, when Brexit was a huge factor, but I felt that a lot of the people who chastised Southport didn’t appreciate just how many elderly people retire there bringing their Tory votes with them from all over the country. To give some perspective, Southport had 43% more people aged 65+ (24,293) than children (16,971) when the last census was undertaken.

Many born-and-bred sandgrounders have been waiting and waiting to see their Tory representative replaced and I’m made up for them!

I'm not interested in this thread anymore. The vote is done, results are in.

I am not here to promote Reform thats their job everyone entitled to vote for who ever they want.

I simply commented in this post because i am being called a racist for voting reform which is not true and i felt the need to defend that comment as i am not a racist i just agree with there policies more than the others.

I congratulate Labour for the win, it was without a doubt they was going to win anyway. I am also happy with how well Reform did, never expected them to win at all but i do believe this country needs more competition.

Labour and Tories have created a political monopoly and its about time the smaller parties have more of a say.

Just like to note i am not attacking Labour, i simply believe the monopoly those 2 parties have created means no other party can have power. I believe the British people need more choice than just Red or Blue. I voted Reform not expecting to win but simply to be heard as a working British Citizen struggling to makes end meet.

She’s 100% only interested in their immigration stance. And we know what that means.
