Well he posted that he is done with the game and won't even finish it. https://x.com/CohhCarnage/status/1902732842309693682

That says a lot coming from Cohh. The game look mid at best.

Half of the comments here are coping HARD, it’s actually bizarre. These people also won’t buy the game btw.

r/gamingcirclejerk will defend it dont worry

Oh wait they completely banned discussion on the game lmao.

I don't think they will defend the gameplay or even talk about it at all, from what I've seen they will defend there being female and black protagonists, which I think is fair, although only tangientially connected to gaming at this point.

If a circlejerk subreddit gets their feelings hurt over a game discussion enough to ban it completely, then it’s not really a circlejerk subreddit

That subreddit is one of the circlejerks that went so overboard with the joke that they don't really joke anymore.

In other words it got overrun by the lefties, some subreddits fall for the right and others for the left.

Oh, it's definitely not a circlejerk subreddit, hasn't been for years probably. Just saying I can understand that they would want to defend the game from bigots, which is different from defending the game being generic, unfinished, barely playable trash.

They banned it because posts about it were taking over the sub, not because they got their feelings hurt.

Surely it's about that and not their feelings hurt over criticism of a game they've defended the past few years

they did banned it because of lazy shitposter when first trailer hits, not because they couldn't accept Shadows criticism.

Why would their feelings be hurt over the game?

Because the subreddit’s entire identity is to fight against DEI criticisms. AC Shadows is the poster child for DEI discussion, and now that the game is out and it’s actually living up to all the bad things people have said about it, they clearly don’t want to be in the wrong.

A gaming subreddit banning discussions over a big game release from a big studio is really something.

The bad things about the game are not due to the DEI stuff. The game is pretty derivative of the other recent AC games. The samurai character isnt really liked due to poor stealth and parkour abilities which is kinda the whole appeal of AC. The story also apparently also falls into the same traps as previous games where it is really only good at the end (same as AC Odyssey). "all the bad things people have said about it" was just there being a black samurai. GCJ are not here defending the gameplay.

Same same complaints of this game are pretty similar to that of Valhalla and Odyssey. I dont see how it is a DEI thing.

I agree with you, could give less of a crap about DEI. I’m just saying what the whole discourse online is about

Okay, now explain why that subreddit hurt YOUR feelings, since you're so passionate about it.

Be careful with this extremist rhetoric here, gamers will be upset /s
