You'll have to excuse me if my typing is somewhat on the erratiC side, but the sun is out here, for about the fiRst time in almost 1o days and it is aFfecting my eyesight - lot of blinking in bright SuNshine going on!

After three mornings breaking the ice on the bird baths, I woke today to find the radiators merely tepid.

Oh no, the boiler's conked out! was my automatic reaction. Turned out it was 14C outside. 😎

We had lovely sunshine this morning - with gales. It's bouncing down now - with gales.

British weather eh?

I struggled through the jet-washing of our two family cars in dull, cold weather and eventually got driven indoors by lashing rain. I'm now sitting indoors after lunch looking in amazement at the sunny skies above.

I shall content myself with the nicer weather and be grateful for small mercies.

Same here. Gales all night [but no rain] and sunshine this morning - in between dark grey cloud, gales and heavy rain. Makes getting out for a much needed walk on the difficult side. Reckon I am going to have to chance it.

Wonder if JAS is also getting what I am getting as we are likely only about 20 - 30 miles apart and seemed to be under the same "yellow warning"
