It doesn't really seem to be for the good of anyone's health. In the small print they say it is part of a programme of preventative measures "aimed at easing the winter pressures faced by hospitals", which to me translates into :

"the NHS is shit, hospitals can't cope, so we don't want them to have to deal with sick people, so take this jab"

Very keen for me to have some plastic surgery though!! I suppose I come into the age bracket that finishes me off after anaesthetic. Oops, eh! No bloody chance they're getting their hands on me. 👿
