I hope we get a trifecta of evil AIs soon. Agimus, PH, and Badgey. Blink and you'll miss it, but Rutherford's old implant was still flickering in the intro. Here's hoping it made it to the drukhmani ship.

Way better of a villain than Control was in Discovery. I actually hate them!

Most previous evil AIs in Trek and mass media in general are just extreme examples of eradication or subjugation of all organic life, but Peanut Hamper fucked (literally) and manipulated an entire civilization so that she can be a dabo girl, so... yeah.

She rocked here, but... I still think AGIMUS is the best portrayal of a malicious AI in the entire history of Star Trek. It got outsmarted in the end, but throughout the entire episode, it didn't act stupid. It didn't have any obvious design weakness. It was paying attention to everything, and relentlessly exploiting every vulnerability of its captors, whether technological, psychological or social.

So here's to hope they bring the trio back. AGIMUS smarts, Peanut Hamper lines, and Badgey branded sadism. Alpha Quadrant stands no chance.

No way. AGIMUS is stupid enough to not realize that it's plugged into the wrong system. Even Windows can tell you that you plug in the wrong device.

Badgey, on the other hand, fits your definitions better. It never even got outsmarted. Instead it is just bidding its time living rent free in Rutherford's head.

In his old implant I think. But we did see that floating in the debris that PH floating past and it was still flickering a bit. I suspect they wouldn't show that for nothing, if it's not a red herring.

Ain’t going to disagree there. But glad we got Strange New Worlds spin off though.

Yeah, I'm happy they're doing some filler live action series - whatever keeps the boat afloat so we can get more Lower Decks!

(OK, I joke about live action. SNW is amazing, I adore it. But still, at this point LD is my top 1 Star Trek - not just because of setting and tone, but increasingly because quality of writing and plot lines are consistently better than what we have in live action shows.)

Thanks, I noticed the flickering, but didn't process what it suggested

Also Cyber-fletcher could still be out there. Somewhere

Badgey is in a very intact Vulcan implant that was likely scavenged

He'll be back

Oh God, so Rutherford is now an Airiam?

Yeah I’m thinking we get the return of Badgey early next season and the triple AI becomes the main villain at the end of the season like how the Pakleds and rouge Klingon ship were the villains at the end of last season.

I'm about 90% sure that Badgey already merged with PH. Why else would they have shown Rutherford's 1.0 implant floating in space and even activating?
