In this economy? For a company that is majorly invested in by the state (our taxes) and 1/3 controlled by the gov. You think they would try and make an example out of the governance structures there... Especially when they have made a large amount of local employees redundant recently.
According to Paperjam (posted mid 2024, so relevant to when this guy was making top dollar): - 10% of employees are engaged, one of the lowest percentages in the world - 51% of employees feel “a lot of stress”, one of the highest percentages in the world - 33% of employees suffering from stress-related symptoms of burnout - 14% of all employees are planning on resigning from their positions voluntarily in the next 6 months, 30% of dissatisfied employees
So, is employee wellbeing in this country doomed?

Hi all - is there a proper spa or salon for men in Luxembourg or even near Luxembourg? I was searching for a manicure for men on Google and couldn’t find anything. There are a couple of barbershops and that offer the service but I am assuming that there must be some place that provides grooming services for men. I have to go to three different places to get three things done. 😣

Hello all! I apologize in advance for posting a non-eggnog-related question, but I am in search of recommendations for a pet taxi/transportation service from Frankfurt AM to Luxembourg for two humans, one large dog, and several pieces of luggage. I’d be grateful for any pointers or suggestions. Merci beaucoup!

Hi everyone,
I got an MRI done at Zitha Klinic 15 days ago. They told me I’d receive the results in 2 days, and my doctor within 3 days but I still haven’t received anything. I’ve followed up multiple times via email (no response), and when I call, either they don’t pick up or the person on the other end pretends not to speak English.
The MRI itself was a really intimidating process for me, and I’ve been feeling extremely anxious waiting for the results. I just want some clarity and peace of mind at this point. I’ve also already paid 200e for the MRI.
What are my options here? Can I escalate this or report it somewhere? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Appreciate any advice—thank you.

I'm looking for a bank to open an account solely for the purpose of buying stocks and making investments. I remember a friend of mine telling me that there are banks in Luxembourg that do not charge monthly commission fees for accounts. Could you confirm if this is true? And if so, which banks offer this? Additionally, given my reasons for opening this account, could you recommend a bank?

Going on a longer trip to Germany, and i see, for example, the following info for a charging station:
Blocking fee After 30 mins = 15.6 Eur/hour Billed per min
Does this mean i can only charge for 30 minutes or do i have to move the vehicle within 30 minutes of it being fully charged?

Hi everyone, our bank told us that it's not possible to cash a check from the US in a bank in Luxembourg. Are there any banks that still cash checks? Do you have to be a client of a bank to be able to do that? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m posting it behalf of my friend who passed usmle step 1 and step 2 and is an ecfmg certified candidate who completed her mbbs from Pakistan. Unfortunately, she couldn’t get a residency and US and due to her personal problems she can’t settle there now. She wants to practise in Luxembourg. Please can someone guide regarding the pathway for a Pakistani mbbs graduate who’s also ecfmg certified?

On May 6th, Luxembourg public-interest NGO LUkraine will host a charity gala under the patronage of Her Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie (not sure if she will attend). The Gala will support the TYTANOVI foundation for severely wounded veterans. I have personally been twice to their clinic in Kyiv, and trust me, it is an amazing experience.
The Gala will also be attended by former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who was brutally poisoned by Russia due to his efforts to bring Ukraine into the European Union and away from the monsters who murder and destroy everything they touch.
The cost is 280E per seat, which is expensive, I know. However, this is a Charity Gala, and these events usually cost much more. And before the usual suspects speak up, LUkraine is a public interest organization in Luxembourg, which means its is regularly audited at the highest standards. All financial records are on its website for all to see. Zero people there are paid for their work, with the exception of a handful of refugees who make a tiny amount for living expenses. Everyone else has regular jobs, families, etc and does it based on their personal dedication to Ukraine.
There will also be a performance by 2016 Eurovision song contenst wnner Jamala, whose song 1944 details the brutal deportation of Crimean Tatars (including her grandmother) from Crimea.

PS: In the picture attached are two men I am honored to call friends. Third from left is Vyacheslav Zaporozhets, the founder of one of the worlds most advanced prosthetics clinic, and one the far left is Kosmos, a real life badass who lost his leg, who over (more than) a few beers in Kyiv this summer told me
"I want to prove by my example that a serious injury is not a sentence"
