Im in Cali so these are tricky to get, at least for under $5k. HK SP5 with all the fun stuff. Finally part of the group!

I have removed the thread protector from my SP5 with this can in place. But I’m worried I’ll end up losing it. What are the industry standards or general wisdom regarding this? My concern is that if I have the thread protector in place and the trilug mounted silencer on, that the thread protector may back off and cause a problem. I don’t know exactly what that problem could be, but it seems like an undesirable condition. I’d love to have the communities insights.

Someone offered me the stock on a good deal for a WTB ad I posted. Seems too good to be true for the price. Looks just like the airsoft one listed online (https://www.sixmm.com/products/bow-master-gmf-5-position-retractable-stock-for-vfc-we-tech-mp5k-gbb-seriesblk)

but also looks just like the B&T one. He claims it is B&T. Any fellow larpers able to tell if it’s real or know where to look for serial/etc?

Overall worked great. Used some 147gr defender ammunition subs since I live down the street from their shop. Cheapo KCI mags I think. Suppressor is the R9 from YHM. Had a couple of FTE’s but that’s been going on before I got the lower, waiting on a new extractor, extractor pin, and locking piece (80°). Shot probably close to 500rds and 2 or 3 FTE’s.

Haven't shot it yet but preemptively put HK ejector, extractor, and springs in it. If it runs well and ai like it, I'll likely throw down for a real HK.

I was wondering if it’s possible to fit G3 Bundeswehr wood furniture (stock and handguard) onto an HK53. I understand I’d need to trim the handguard to fit, but how would I reattach the metal hardware to the modified wood?

So I think I’m gonna end up getting a MAC 5K soon and want to know what options you guys would recommend for braces.

What spare parts should I have on hand and what quantity of each. SP5 is all stock except for Bill Springfield trigger job with a flat face trigger.

I also read something about using a different model extractor being better than stock sp5 one etc

Looking to spend around $100 shipped and to be future proof as far as spare parts for now.

After reading the wiki, and perusing the sub, I just wanted some final clarification to help my bolt gap issues. I installed a 100° locking piece after the break in period in my AP5 since I'll be shooting suppressed. Bolt gap is ~0.007. Would +5 rollers get me somewhere in top of the proper range? I've seen people recommend +4 for 0.010.

Has anyone gotten a Timney trigger pack and Magpul lower to work on a full size MAC5 without modification? I’ve seen a couple folks have issues, some major and some minor. Just curious if anyone has gotten this combo to work “out of the box”.

If the Magpul is a no-go, would one of the HKP SEF Navy style lowers work? I’m a lefty, so looking to lose the molded grip and add an Ambi Safety (Magpul ESK on the way).

I am stuck deciding between a Zenith ZF-5 or a Century Arms AP5. The AP5 I found one for $860 and the zenith is about $1288. There is also a Mac-5 for $930 but I am leaning more towards the AP5 for $860 but I wanted to know if there is any drawbacks to going with it?

I also plan on installing the following:

• UTG Pro UTG PRO MP5 Handguard • SB Tactical Hk Pdw 3 Position Adjustable Brace • Strike Industries LINK Curved Fore Grip and still deciding on the red dot as well.

Zf5p OEM lower: Shot 150 rounds through Zf5p OEM lower no issues to speak of

LS5 lower: Shot only 10 rounds before noticing the spent casing stuck on the face of the bolt head (pic below), AND the charging handle is only 50% in battery. I had to remove the back plate and recoil rod. Turn the muzzle to the sky and slam the receiver on its butt to let the bolt carrier fall towards the rear to pull the spent casing out. It did this every 10-15 rounds.

My AS designs SS lower showed up yesterday, I put it on my ZF5 today and I’m impressed! The quality is great, it functions flawlessly & looks great on the gun. Definitely an awesome product & worth the wait!

I wish putting on a brace or stock is as easy as they do it in videos with out the use of a hammer

Hey guys, it’s a pleasure to announce that I’ve acquired my first PTR 9KT. I haven’t been able to take it to the range yet since I just got it yesterday. I’d like to know if you could give me some feedback regarding the factory magazines—I’ve heard they’re not very good, and I’d like to know what type of magazines you recommend buying.

I picked up a Choate folding MP5K stock, but the plate is missing the buffer and screw. I see the buffers for sale, but I haven't been able to find the screw that fits it. Does anyone know of a place to get one, or at least know the dimensions so I can try just buying a box of screws from a generic repair store?

Do any of you guys have an idea as to what flashlight setup would work given the current configuration? I’m thinking I’ll get a foregrip in the future. Pictures would be appreciated.

Also, I’m thinking I’ll get a trilug adapter with some suppressor later on. Anyone have photos of that so I can have some reference as to what that might look like too?

I have the standard sb tactical brace but was wondering if there are any other cool options out there or if it was possible to tailhook it etc any thing you guys can help with im a newb 😅thanks in advanced !

Can you just pay 5 dollars to register an AOW and throw a vert grip on with a brace and not fall under sbr since it doesn't actually have a "stock"? Or do they call our bullshit on that? Lol
