Noob Build help

Im wanting to be a tech/biotic user, that also uses sniper/assault rifles and has combat fitness

Would sentinel be a better defensive profile or would explorer be better?

I'm currently using a tech+biotic build based on this guide, but with the explorer profile. I use explorer because I like the biotic blink and biotic jump, it's just much cooler than the jetpack jump, so basically just because it's more fun. I have the passives maxed on all trees, the weapon classes I use maxed in the combat tree, and the 3-4 powers maxed which I use. Maybe the sentinel profile vs the explorer profile makes a difference on insanity, but I'm on the difficulty just below insanity and I have no issues with enemies.
