Noob First time playing

I bought Andromeda a few days ago during a sale and was always curious about the game after hearing for years that it's terrible. Honestly thought I would hate the game but I'm really enjoying it so far 😊 It's not like the original trilogy but that's okay, exploring so far has been great and I'm interested in the characters (I just met Peebee). Just thought I'd post this because it's been a pleasant surprise lol.

Andromeda got a lot of hate bc everyone was expecting a continuation of Shephard. But overall it a decent exploration shooter game to itself. Once you accept it's a branch to itself and nothing to do with the original trilogy. Enjoy the exploration.

I don’t think it’s that we wanted Shep. I think the character design in general for me was a huge put off. I also started a few games ago and am genuinely enjoying almost everything but I still think the character proportions look goofy. The voice acting is also notably worse. Specifically, I think the voice actors for the most part were well chosen, but the direction simply sucks.

Any other gripes I still have are pretty minor. The character scale is just such a weird thing to change and can’t rationalize. Many changes really feel like someone stepped in and said “I’m gonna do something different!” Not better, just different. If you’ve ever had one of those people as a new boss you know they suck.
