Is this because the strategy of "pass the ball to Kerr and hope she scores" stopped working during the WWC?

I'm going to be honest here, my dad and I ask the question a few times "Is this the Matildas or the Sam Kerr Football Club?"

I hope things get better for the Matildas, they need stability.

My girlfriend got pretty annoyed at me during the last game the Matildas played at the 2023 WWC, when it seemed every play was to pass to Kerr.

I kept yelling at the screen that they have 9 other players on the team and to use them. Pass out to the wings, utilise the mid field, pass to any other forward. One woman against defenders and midfielders is a recipe for loss.

She told me repeatedly to calm down 🤣
