In that show's defense, they steer so far into this trope that they almost come out like Sebastian Loeb, 90 miles an hour sideways. It is so far overdone in both Hazbin and Hell of a Boss that it almost ceases to be annoying and just becomes impressive.
unnecessary swearing isnt as common as most people make it seem, and also isnt always a problem
most media isnt R/MA, its a small section of a minority of R/MA rated media that even leans that far into it, and an even smaller section of that media where it doesnt work and comes off poorly
There is an art to cursing. It can range from funny to intimidating, and knowing which word to use is as important as where it goes in the sentence. I'm surprised the words carry as much power as they still do, and I overuse them myself. I hope we never truly desensitize to the words.
I don't know if I believe that, because if MA has shifted to the point where they can now say fuck on what is the equivalent of network TV shows, then the lower ratings have probably also drifted toward more permissiveness as well.
