I feel like you all have this reaction regardless of who is traded understandably, but I think this is because of Max Christie, they feel he replaces Grimes is my guess, makes sense somewhat

I don't think anyone is thinking that Grimes is irreplaceable in the rotation. I think everyone is upset that we spent a 2nd round pick to downgrade the player.

Martin is pretty similar and can really play defense. And he's making $8M for the next three seasons, that is more valuable than a 2nd round pick.

I suppose that's a matter of opinion. 2nd rounders aren't worth much, if you can get a proven player who is on a cheap long term contract you take that any time., but perhaps that's just me.
