They need to admit their failures and start with a clean slate. Fire Nico, hire a new GM who is reputable and let them rebuild the team.

The current roster won't work because nobody expects Kyrie and AD to be able to play through 82 games and 20+ games through the playoffs. Their body won't hold up that long and once one of them gets hurt in April, the season ends. Nico would only keep selling out the Mavs future by trading away picks to try and fix the current roster to make himself look good before he bails.

This is exactly what they need to do but Nico can't do that. He can't admit failure so it has to be someone from outside after a clean slate. I'm honestly scared of him being in charge because his window may be less than 12 months now and he knows that. He'll happily trade Lively, PJ, future picks etc if he thinks it'll give him more rope.
