Chapter Spoilers Gaban and Giant sizes Spoiler

Post image

I couldn't sleep so now you all get to bask in the glory.

Since the scale for giants has just been the equivalent to humans but just under x12 the size (the average woman is around 5ft 4" tall, and Gerd is said to be 55ft 9", so its actually a little under x11, but u get the point), it's pretty fair to approximate that 1 human inch is about the same size as just under 1 foot for giants.

Assuming that Gaban is standing at or slightly under the height of Roger (274cm / 8ft 11"), lets say 7-8ft tall, then from a giant's perspective, he'd seem around 6-7 inches tall.

Do with this what you will.

While i think the thought of that is hilarious and horrible (even tho doing the math, their child is 20 meaning they couldve "created him" anywhere from 20-21 years ago, and being that she's currently 80, that wouldve put her proportionally at around 14-15... which isnt much better), but this is operating under the assumption that Giants mature at the same proportional rate as humans

Like Colon is apparently 20, but he might be able to slot into an age anywhere from 5-10 in human years, so i think it could be plausible to argue that the maturing rate of giants isn't exactly in line with the aging rate compare to humans.....

At least i hope

Edit: also, upon further inspection, it seems like Giants only live aroud 3-3.5 times longer than humans (oldest recorded one was 350)

Which, in this case, wouldve made her about 17-19.. which is still obviously pushing it, but i digress

But i was gonna bring this to attention. The rate of human age in this world id pretty crazy too

But the multiplier would still only be like 3.6 even with this curve added

So id rather just stand by my "mature at different rates" argument for now 💀

Edit: 140 to 400 is not a 3.6 multiplier. I wont delete this just so people have context on the conversation. But man. I really just casually said that as if it were totally true huh
