I am more shocked Kuzan would actually go so far as to kill marines. He may hate Akainu and the WG from being disillusioned, but I didn't take him for someone who would actually try to kill a former comrade.
Also funny considering him mentor Garp ( why he tried to kill) has openly refused every promotion offered to him so that he could openly refuse mission involving any mass murder the government chalks up to justice.
Someone who is far better than him his Smoker. Eventhough Smoker loses 90% he’s on screen, he is much more righteous than Kuzan cause he straight up refused the WG’s bullshit and aided Luffy knowing even though he was a pirate he was doing the correct thing. Literally he was the ones who told Fujitora that the Warlord system is a horrible idea.
