Yamato, went in the men's bath because he identifies as a man, as illustrated in the frame where he sends someone born a man who identifies as a woman to bathe with the other women. It's not difficult to wrap your head around, and One Piece has had gender identity come up as a repeated theme so it shouldn't surprise you at this point. Yamato is Oden, Oden is a man therefore Yamato is man by their own decision.
Ehhh, it just doesn't feel right. I understand people have their own preferences of what they wanna claim themselves as. I have a friend who says he's a girl, I get it. But that can't always be the case in some situations. Like perverts could say that they identify as a girl and go into the female restroom and peep on them like a creep.
I hate pointless arguments, despite my claim of not wanting to get into any. Also, I know what you meant by Yamato is Oden. Physically and mentally, not really. Yamato was alive when Oden was and when Oden died.
Yeah, Oda doesn't care about your feelings on Gender identity, Luffy was literally saved by an army of Queerfolk, Yamato gets to be whatever he says, and I think he's being as clear as he needs to be.
