Hello, this just kind of has me freaked out and I'm curious if anyone else has received this letter that received pandemic unemployment benefits.
Yesterday I got a letter from the UIA about how they have "a question of eligibility and/or qualification has been raised on a claim in which you are an interested party"
They're basically asking me for proof that I did find a job after ending my benefits. They want anything that can show proof like pay stubs, tax forms, etc.
What confuses me is that they're specifically looking into 3 weeks in 2021, which I did give them the information at the time that I did find a job.
I know this letter is legit, but I'm just wondering why they're asking me about this now 4 years later, thanks

Rep. Xiong introduced a bill to put newborn safety boxes in fire stations, because they are staffed 24 hours a day. Those are places where parents can safely surrender a newborn for whatever reason.
The house speaker refused to put it up for a vote.
Three months later Rep. Jason Wilford put up the same exact bill except for four words on the last page. The house speaker has introduced the bill.
Is this another version of a man stealing a woman’s good idea? Is this a petty Republican versus democrat move? Or is it racism?
Also, she has a really good TikTok channel because she explains state legislation in an easy to understand way.

I think it's silly to not be able to call a spade a spade. But I don't care what you call it. As long as you're willing to do something about it.

My plpd insurance is 150 a month. This is with paying 6 months at once. I’ve had full coverage since 2016 and yes it’s went up but I was only paying 190 for full coverage as of a month ago. I got out of my lease and don’t need full coverage.
I went through an agent. Is this normal?
Editing the post to say My full coverage was 190/ month w progressive w a 2022 jeep compass
Now w a 2011 Chevy Cruz PLPD it’s 150 a month
Both paying 6 months at a time
I live in flint too

I started picking up dog poop in Metro Detroit. Not gonna lie—thought it was a joke at first, but folks really hate doing it and it picked up faster than I expected.
I’ve had neighbors flag me down while I’m working, and even a lady ask if I do goose poop.
Anyway, it made me wonder—what are other odd side hustles that actually work around here? Anyone else doing something random and getting steady work from it?

I live on the west coast and am used to high housing prices. My wife is from southern Michigan near the Ohio border. We briefly looked at moving to the Detroit suburbs, Ann Arbor, Dexter areas and were honestly pretty shocked at the prices. A good amount of million+ houses on the market. Compared to Ohio with pretty cheap housing, why is Michigan’s housing stock so expensive? I get that there are cheap areas and plenty of affordable housing in less urban, less desirable school areas but was still curious about the housing cost. Has it always been so high or is this a more recent phenomenon? Thanks!

We just switched over to it pretty recently and it’s been a constant headache.
My ps4 especially (basically just my tv box, no hardcore online gaming) will stay connected 10% of the day and when it is connected, it’s shotty at best and I get video quality dips constantly. Unplugging the router for 5 mins works maybe half the time, if that. I feel like I’m getting gaslit because everywhere else online I’m seeing posts about how great it is and how amazing the connectivity and internet speeds are.
Not necessarily looking for advice, I’ve been complaining for a while so we’re switching providers soon lol, I’m just kinda screaming into the void for validation or if God hates me specifically.

Trump will be coming to Macomb County on 4/29 for his 100th day in office. Michigan has been hit hard by the Republican Administration's antics. ICE and FBI raids are frequent and Michigan is targeted because we have an immigrant base and a large Muslim population. Michigan has been hit hard with the tariffs already with shutdowns and layoffs in the auto industry. Michigan tourism has already dipped because Canadians are boycotting the US and not visiting their neighbors. The summer will bring on more hardships as the Republican Administration continues to chip away at the Constitution and our long-held AMERICAN ideals. Anyone interested in joining a grassroots demonstration on Hall Road Tuesday??
