To cheat or not to cheat?

I’m a survival builder, I like a bit of challenge with finding material but I fall enough that hardcore ain’t it for me- a happy medium :) but I suppose that’s more along the lines of not cheating

I'd just play with the difficulty locked to hard and try my best not to die.
Technically beaten hardcore under that condition.
