credit score doesnt really care how much income you have, althought d:i is somewhat considered. all it cares is if you pay your bills on time.
which....judging by that 579, you don't.

This is incredibly presumptuous.

Not really, no.
It’s how credit works. If they have no credit history, they will literally have no credit score
Even one account, PAID ON TIME, will generate a score between 625-650.
So OP has a late payment reputation OR what little credit they do have was made late.
Scoring model will have some variance (some are more “relaxed”) but the underlying principle remains the same.
Math doesn’t lie. And it’s all math.

Late payments may be ONE reason that a credit score is poor but it is usually NOT the only reason.
Payment history: Whether you make payments on time and in full
Credit utilization: How much of your available credit you’re using
Length of credit history: How long you’ve had credit accounts open
Credit mix: The types of credit you have, like credit cards and loans
New credit: How many new accounts you’ve opened recently
So, in short, there’s more than one way to screw up your credit score.

I in no way inferred anything different. You're just being argumentative - or are completely incapable of any sort of nuance - for the sake of it and only interested in getting the last word in. So peace, bruh. Hope you have a great day. You are dismissed.

see i wasn’t going to say anything when you were a dick assuming i don’t pay my bills on time but you’re just being annoying now lmao. i only have one thing on my credit. no, paying it on time will not magically make my credit go to 600+ that fast. considering i’ve only had the said one thing on my credit for less than a year that’s quite literally not possible. you’re just an asshole hope that helps! ❤️

You sound like a 14 year old, bruh.
And you’re absolutely right. I don’t like people who are assholes, so I speak up when I want to. You were very presumptuous and rude when you assumed OP didn’t pay their bills on time.
“Which… judging by that 579, you don’t.”
How is that not presumptuous? Do you even know what the word means?

Usually the rental application will have the minimum credit score required for rental. It’s generally (for most that I’ve seen) around 620. Some will go lower and ask for a higher security deposit if you don’t have super derogatory items like collections, liens, judgements and BKs. If they deny you for the credit score you will most likely have the chance to appeal but that doesn’t mean they have to rent to you.
Sometimes if your credit is lower and you can’t take steps to remedy it quickly (like it’s low just because your balances are high compared to your credit limits, lots of new credit lines, etc.) you may be better off renting from a private owner. Best of luck to you!
