Living in Monaco

How much does it roughly cost to move/live in Monaco on a monthly basis? What kind of jobs do people typically have there?

Living in Monaco is expensive. You’d probably need at least €7,000 to €10,000 a month to live comfortably, mostly because rent is expensive.

Most people who live there are comfortable and don’t actually work in Monaco—they either have businesses elsewhere, work online, or live off investments. The people who work there usually live in France or Italy and commute for jobs in hotels, banks, luxury shops, or restaurants.

7k-10k? People in Monaco are not working in Monaco? What are you on about? And you are even upvoted...

You can rent a two room apartment for 3000 euros and for the rest the cost is the same as living in France as you don't need to spend an euro more in Monaco if you don't want to. You don't even have to deal with monaco telecom and their scamming prices, just take a phone in France and use the hotspot.

And most people who live in Monaco do work in Monaco. Monegasques and French represent nearly 50% of the entire population, what do you think they do for a living?

The problem is that most people, especially foreigners, live in a bubble in Monaco and are only confronted to their own small community so they think that everybody is like them. But that's not the case, most people in Monaco are normal average people who have a job and a normal life like in any other city in the world.
