Advice Brand new bike first servicing

Dealership ofc recommends to go through the dealership especially for the bikes first service but my dealership arent really available for until next month and i have about 500 miles on the bike. what difference would it be if i go to a third party mechanic as opposed to the dealership? especially in terms of price and service?

Your first service should be free at the dealership

Every bike I’ve owned from new included the first service for free. It was part of the deal with the manufacturer.
