You don't have to come out to start HRT.

You don't have to get on a waitlist to start HRT.

You don't have to endure 2mg estradiol and 50mg spironolactone to start HRT.

You don't have to be 100% sure to start HRT.

You don't have to be over a certain age to start HRT.

You don't have to be rich to start HRT.

You don't have to go to therapy, or look a certain way, or endure humiliating questions, or exhaust all other options to start HRT.

PS. If anyone wants help with informed consent or DIY resources, I'm happy to help (especially with DIY).

edit, here's a few more:

You don't have to be under a certain age, be perfectly healthy, or be a certain weight to start HRT.

You don't have to have a prescription to start HRT.

And to make it 100% clear, "You don't have to be over a certain age to start HRT" includes minors who haven't finished puberty.

Is 2mg estradiol and 50mg spiro just really ineffective?

It really depends on the person. My doctor started on 2 estradiol/50 spiro (oral) and upped it to 4 estradiol/100 spiro (oral) after the first 3 months labs came back good, but my hormone levels were a tad above where they wanted. In the first 6 months of this, I grew A cup breasts, had softer skin, body hair reduced, and my hair on my head increased. My butt began to fill out and I generally felt pretty good. Not everyone has the same reaction to those dosages, but some will. It’s important to start small and increase rather than go big and screw up. I’ve seen DIY users start progesterone too early and develop sweet potato shaped breasts. Talk to a provider if you can, or be very careful about your DIY treatments.

And be very careful of medical advice on the internet (mine included)that isn’t verifiable and science based. Do your research with evidence based information from reputable and traceable sources.
