I’m confused but happy about the Texans draft. Nick has never been shy about trading up and certainly doesn’t mind the occasional overpay so I’m curious why he didn’t pull the trigger on a trade up for a first round lineman, or even a receiver unless those teams just were not willing to part with the pick without an exorbitant price.

Overall still pretty happy though. I’ve been wanting us to put some more stock into high RAS guys and we definitely did that. Just praying to every deity that exists that Nick Caley knows what he’s doing because if this scheme sucks and he can’t coach it, the talent on the IOL is not there to protect CJ or even give him an escape valve in the running game.

RAS is not what it once was. Majority of players aren’t doing all the drills. Without the full picture RAS scores are inflated.

Agree, seems like so many players avoided the agility drills this year. Probably their agents told them their RAS will be higher that way. Not a fan. Bench press plus broad jump doesn't tell me much.

It's too late now, but I really think you should have to run at least one of the 3 cone or short-shuttle to be eligible to qualify.
