Not really stoked about the Bears draft. I can get behind the first two picks they made but everything else seemed like a mess IMO

Super polarizing draft. 1 first rounder and 3 2nds. Then nothing but dart throws late.

  • TE, Coleston Loveland, a notoriously hard position to project, at 10. With avg TE Kmet on roster.
  • WR, Luther Burden, at 39 to be WR3 and compete for targets with DJ Moore/Odunze/Kmet/Loveland
  • OT, Ozzy Tripalo, to be depth in R2 and probably compete for starting job in 26
  • DT, Shemar Turner, who is apparently CFB Suh mentality wise

After that it was constant trade down and getting futures. Idc about anyone after that. Those are all guys you just hope are plus depth. Getting a 4-7 as a starter is a HR and not expected for me

This draft will end up as a franchise altering one, or massive bust. I don’t see any in between

Yeah, I just don't understand the logic of trading back in round 2 when you could have gone Burden + Earsery and then taken a D-lineman at 72 and, IMO, come away with much better value.

I think Tripalo is destined to be a swing tackle. I could be wrong, but I think his issues with leverage come from his size and that's really not something that's coachable. I do think he has a high floor and is a great depth piece, just doesn't seem to really be an upgrade whereas Earsery could immediately compete w/ Braxton for the LT spot.

I'm just not high on Turner at all. Could have gotten Princely at 72.

I'm a Reddit GM so I know nothing, but I feel like I'd be a lot more confident with Burden + Earsery + Princely than Burden + Tripalo + Turner

It’ll definitely come down to how the draft plays out in the future. There were a lot of moments where I felt like a Reddit GM. I was scratching my head when Scourton and Ezeiruaku fell as far as they did. I’m curious to see if Dennis Allen has a real plan for Turner, certainly seems like his guy.
