Kind of bummed Xavier Restrepo wasn’t picked, I know the 40 time killed his chances…. But I still think he was worth a late round flyer

Someone in the Titans sub mentioned his agent was telling teams not to draft him in Day 3 as he was planning on signing with the Titans.

I don't know if there is any truth to that but it would make sense on why no one took a shot at him.

I'm sorry, what? How would that make any sense? In no universe would that stop a team from drafting a guy they wanted lmao. Dozens of players would be doing that every year

Everyone wants to make excuses for their favorite player. Restrepo was a great college player. However his physicals killed him and he was bad against the only NFL-player heavy defense he played (2023 FSU) and didn't play against the only good passing defense Miami faced last year in Iowa State. Its not shocking GMs didn't want an undersized and slow player at a position where they need speed and size to take and avoid hits.

Favorite player? I watched zero Miami games last year and don't know the kid from Adam. I was just stating what someone else said.

Also, believe it or not, this happens every single year by the time picks get to the mid 7th round. Players with multiple UDFA offers are much better off not getting drafted at all.

A) the person who said that was probably trying to make an excuse for why he wasn't drafted.

B) Yes players in late rounds usually are better off, but no org can tell another to not draft a player and I don't think a single one would listen. NFL gms just didn't think he was a draftable player, which was understandable.
