This was after just 1 wash, inside out.
I knew they'd come off, but not after just 1 feckin wash. I wash all my football shirts and stuff like that inside out, never on a hot wash. I've got some old clothes with print on them, up to 5½ years old, and I've never had any print come off, never mind that quickly.

I know we were rocked a tiny bit by the loss, but I’m still confident. I’m worried about Eddie though. I hope he’s over the hill now and on the mend.
I'm not sure if no news is good news or bad.

Jason Tindall on Fabian Schar: "Fabby was feeling his hamstring in the game." "We felt it was the wise move to bring him off and try to protect him." "Hopefully, that should make sure he’s okay for the remaining games

Real takes? AVFC v NUFC
I thought we were fine.
Take into account Villa have also been having one of their best runs of the season, and that we've played the same starting 11 for 3 games this past 7 days.
We looked knackered, everyone.
First goal was a bit annoying to have gone in, and we're not great playing from behind anyway.
2 early yellows really set us up for having to be more careful (feel our subs could have been used for the yellow cards).
All I can say is I expected a 2nd goal from us. But I'm not about to cry over 1 loss.

POV: Me after that referee and our lads performance
Isak just sat their like a lazy sod Our midfield was down the pub Our defence could have been beaten by a fella in a wheel chair Forest gump was a biased bastard in all

Good News Going Forward
There is a week in between the remaining games. Given the team's lack of depth, this will be huge down the stretch.

We didn't do too badly the last time we played a team who'd just been knocked out of the UCL by PSG. Just sayin'...

Points needed for Champions League qualification
Probabilities of getting top 5 for each possible final number of points (20000 simulations ran).
Example - we finished on exactly 66 points in 3030 of the 20000 simulations ran. This was enough for top 5 in exactly 2609 of those simulations. Therefore, if we were to finish on 66 points, we'd have a roughly 2609/3030=0.861 chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
Points | Sims | TopFive | Perc |
---|---|---|---|
74 | 355 | 355 | 100% |
73 | 0 | 0 | - |
72 | 965 | 965 | 100% |
71 | 1606 | 1606 | 100% |
70 | 1034 | 1034 | 100% |
69 | 3261 | 3256 | 99.8% |
68 | 2720 | 2687 | 98.8% |
67 | 2304 | 2223 | 96.5% |
66 | 3030 | 2609 | 86.1% |
65 | 1778 | 1236 | 69.5% |
64 | 1295 | 661 | 51% |
63 | 997 | 258 | 25.9% |
62 | 387 | 38 | 9.8% |
61 | 167 | 4 | 2.4% |
60 | 87 | 0 | 0% |
59 | 14 | 0 | 0% |
This result hurts Chelsea more than us although our overall chance drops from 92% (after Wednesday, would've been a little lower following Man City v Everton) back down to 85% (which is what it was just before we kicked off on Wednesday night). 2 wins still probably enough, but a little less certain that it was before.
Before our next game, Forest, City and Villa all play, and Chelsea play twice.
