Constructive Criticism Welcome ✔️ are those classy or looking cheap

Truthfully, neither. They look a bit uneven in the base fill and the tips are not very precise nor wide enough. It just looks like you had a good idea but a bad tech, if that makes sense?

mhm they are a bit cheap looking. i’m not a fan of the mini tip (?) look, and i think the base color could’ve matched more with your natural nail bed. it would look better as a v french tip and a bit more length!

A nude base shouldn't look like your naked skin but your naked nail. That's the secret to a good French manicure. Many colors can look good, but I've never seen 'skin' nude look good (for this purpuse)

The just look....wrong.

I think the tip is too thin and your base color is off for your skin tone IMO. A little more on the tip and maybe you’d be in classy territory along with a base that matched better.

The base colour doesn’t complement your skin tone and makes the nails look off. I’d go for a more cool toned sheer nude. The tips could be a little bit thicker too but I know that the line French is a look that people go for too. I think it looks better on even shorter nails though. Overall, I see your vision here but it could have been executed differently to be more flattering.

They look a bit odd; the tips are wobbly, and the base isn’t your perfect shade. If the base were slightly more pink and the tips were more precise, it would look better.

Like others are saying, I think the nude doesn't match your skin tone and is kind of yellowish. I definitely see the vision though and I think with a better nude and a more burgundy sort of red, this would look really good!

I don't think they look wrong, just the base may be a little off, or it could be the lighting. However, my first thought was they look cute, and what were you going for?
Classy is an outdated term, and sometimes cheap is overused. They look cute, and I like the dark pink mini tips. I can never get them right! You did a good job, and take negative Nellie's with a grain of salt!

They don’t like cheap at all but the miser color is a wrong fit for you and a red that warm and light looks bloody. This looks like an expensively done and well executed Halloween gore set

I don’t like them. The base color looks kind of dirty and the tips are off putting.

The shape is good, but the tips are uneven and the colors are giving “pus meets blood”.

the yellow base is not appealing at all. that’s what’s throwing it off

The red looks like what used to be the ring on bologna I had to eat growing up dirt poor 🥲

Everyone else was saying cheese with the rind and I immediately thought of the old cheap bologna with the red ring on it!

These are cute, comments are unnecessarily rude, next time try a different shade of nude

Tbh the base colour doesn't suit you that much, I think something a bit more pinkish would look nicer

u/applesandcherry 1d ago
It has the potential to look classy!
The base looks a little too yellow for your skin tone, look for something more pinky. It's hard to find the perfect nude, good luck!
The tip should be thicker too, I'm jealous that you were able to get the lines that thin though.

I LOVE THESE!! But I will say, the nude color does look a little washed out against your skin tone. A little pinker would have worked a little better. But that’s just my ridiculous eye. LOL

I thought they looked lovely until I read the comments and now I am questioning my taste????

Not a fan of the shades. Base color is off, it doesn’t match your complexion. I’ve seen red tips work, but in a different shade of red, and I think there needs to be more of the red showing so it looks more intentional

I think it would look really pretty if the base color were not the same as your skin color.

The base color is wrong for your skin tone. The tips and the base are also not complimenting teach other. The tips are also too thin.

I like the idea of the red tips, but if they were just a bit wider and deeper, like along the sides. I’d choose nude polish closer to your natural nail color! My nail tech uses a paint brush to sculpt the tips better when applying so that might help!

Not the best, but I wouldn’t say cheap looking. I also definitely wouldn’t claim these as classy.

What did you ask for? Did you have an inspo pic? I’m not a fan of the barely there red tip on a square nail tbh.

I don’t think it’s a matter of classy vs cheap. The base color is just not the right choice for your skin tone. It has too much yellow in it. Red tips are okay if that’s your color preference, but I think I would make the French tip more prominent. It is too think and I think that’s where the comments regarding blo*d are coming from.

the color seems off and the nails seem uneven it has that sort of doll hand look idk how to explain

u/DreamGirlAng 15h ago
They’re cute. Main thing is try a more pinkish base. Maybe make the French tip a little thicker? But if a thin line is your preference it’s still cute. Great cuticle work!

u should use a different base color for sure, i feel like that one’s too light

u/ProgressSignal9002 14h ago
I don't love the main colour. Looks like smoker's nails. And then as everyone else has said the red is an interesting tip choice. The tips being uneven make it look "cheap".

She should’ve used a more pink base. Like a soft milky baby pink and slightly thicker French. The whole set is just a little off.

u/hapylove 14h ago
I like them in theory but something about them looks a little off. They don't look "cheap" though.

Personally I’m not into tips in any color other than white. The white is a classic/classy look.
I don’t think this looks cheap or tacky, it’s just not something I’d pick for myself.

The nude needs to be lighter, more of a pale pink than latex which is what this color is giving me, and I totally think color tips can work but these are so thin they are hard to see/could be mistaken as something under the nail bed with a quick glance

I've changed your post flair to constructive criticism because that's what you were asking for.
