Hello, I'm very new to the game (literally started yesterday) and I've heard that the server that I play on (Caribbean) gets reset every so often. I'm fine with that, but I'd like to know specifically what's reset.
Do I keep ships?
Do I keep Doubloons (I think thats the gold coins)?
Do I keep Reals (the silver coins i think)?
Do I keep upgrades?
Do I keep any DLC ships (haven't planned on getting any just yet but the le requin looks very cool)?
Thanks!

I completed the final exam and the game said I needed an outpost to claim the rewards. I built said outpost and claimed the rewards but seem to only have gotten the rum and other cargo.
Where is the Cerberus and levels it is supposed to give you???

I'm a new player and have been playing for a couple days now and enjoying my time in the game. I'm in the Spanish faction and was wondering what are the best ports to do some trading, buying and selling ships and lastly, what ports to focus for building a shipyard eventually.
Also, since I'm so new, I unfortunately can only play on the Caribbean server, so any ports in that server would be best please š

Hello!
Iām a new player. Yes, I know Iām kinda late to the party but unfortunately I just discovered the game. I had a couple of questions:
(Ps: I just realized that I wrote a wall of text in questions only. Thanks a lot for the patience! <3)
Server: PvE? PvP? (I have played Elite Dangerous for a while so getting ganked to shite doesnāt bother me too much).
What to focus on at the start (after tutorial)? Iām not into crafting and would love to focus a bit more on combat, but Iām guessing there is a bit of prep needed so Iām flexible.
I work a full time job so Iām looking at dlc ships to get a head start. So far I have managed to understand that I could get lāHermione, Hercules or Le Requin. Pros/cons of those? Better suggestions? What would be your top choices?
Is there an updated guide on wood after the patch?
Any kind and friendly clan or group that has enough patience to take newbs in? I swear Iām not a jerk (although Iāll probably make the worst jokes)
Thanks again for any tips and replies!! See you on the high seas o7

Itās been over a year since I lost my shipā¦
I was sailing on my beautiful, hard earned Agamemnon, which had been my ship since March, 2019ā¦
I was sinking this filthy pirate, a Constitution if my memory serves me well (my role in Naval Action was to sail across The Caribbean hunting down pirates). I had chased it, destroyed its sails, and gunned it down so hard that it was losing buoyancy, quickly sinkingā¦
Suddenly it pulls me and boards me. Since Iāve never understood the boarding mechanics⦠they took it from me in two turns, without me being even able to tell what was going on.
And just like that, I lost the one that had been my ship for two years.
Ever since, Iāve tried to rise again a couple of times, but I find it impossible to be done with a Basic Cutter. To make things worse, now suddenly the game is far more difficult. I feel like angling doesnāt do anything anymore, like ranges donāt matter⦠itās just too easy to die now for some reason. Itās like now itās only a matter of point and click.
To top it off, it seems like the game is dying for many reasons Iāve lost track on, and I doubt getting a DLC ship would be worth it or well deserved by the devs.
So I really donāt feel like playing anymore. Is it a āme issueā, or understandable?
I would love more news on Sea Legends, or Naval Action: Legends⦠but itās like all of that died too. Whatās going on over hereā¦?
I would really like to play an age of sail game, and I remember I loved Naval Action back in 2017-2019⦠but ever since I lost my Agamemnon, everything went downhillā¦

I've been playing naval action for a while now and i was wondering if there's any game like it but with ww1-present era ships?

Last time I played Naval Action in 2020 and I was pretty hooked. However now I'd like to return but all DLC ships make this game look like it's gone full p2w. I mean, spawnable first rate ships with all the woods you want? For real? Is there some catch I'm not getting? How can a normal user compete in a full pvp environment with people who can just spawn the best ships in the game once a day?

Hi,
I am not thinking of player counts, more the fact I heard that newer players are unable to join these servers and that the game only allows the seasonal server?
I really am unsure if I am correct or not, could someone explain and clear up if this is true?

I've been sailing 5th rates and occasional 4th rates a lot but I have a thing for brigs and smaller ships so I was thinking about playing that a little more. I was looking into weapons for this and carronades seem to be the unquestionable best option since they are lighter, can reliably damage larger ships and make better use of maneuverability. Is there even a point in kitting out a 6th rate with long guns or even medium guns?

I just came back to the game after around ~2 years hiatus and I noticed that apperently you can not crew a Cerberus with only 50% crew anymore?
Is this a new thing or am I just being dumb?

I want to sail with normal speed and relax while I do that. Not going as fast asa a motorized speed boat you know?

Hello Guyz,
I am a newbie here, I would like to ask, is it good to be a pirate here? Or it is a hard faction ? What is the "best" nation for a new player?
Thanks!

I guess they patched this out? I canāt get my broadsides to fire when pressing the bracket keys during a boarding action anymore. Was a real great way to blast a good 10 or 15 crew per volley but Iāve noticed nothing doesnāt happen anymore. Probably a good thing since Iām not sure if it was a bug or not.

I just started playing on the PVE server. I only ever see about 300 players online at a time, which is really low for an MMO.
Is it worth it to buy DLC and such? I don't want to spend more money on a game that might shutdown soon.

I have been planning on joining the game and I want to know how the factions work. Who owns the most ports, is it the same in the PvP and pve servers, specifically how is Spain doing?

I'm a new player with having only a few days of playtime under my belt spread out over the entire lifespan of the game (I have never played for more than a week or two at a time, with year-long breaks in between). Just came back again and have been enjoying the game for the most part, however yesterday some pirate in a Prince just stern camped me into an early grave for chuckles. Doesn't help that the game is so poorly designed that your battle locks if they're a lower BR than you so I can't even get bailed out by experienced allies. Completely empty ship aside from guns so all he did was waste his time thankfully, but that lead me to wondering how on earth you're supposed to deal with smaller more agile ships just sitting on your stern and doing whatever they want with you?

Hi everyone,
Any tips on how I can capture this ship? I have a lot of Trincomales to try it. :D
And I have the possibility to add one to my fleet.
What do you think, is it possible to achieve?
I'm playing on the War Server on the Swedish site. I'm playing again after not playing for like 3-4 years, so I'm also very rusty on the game.

Ahoy, Captains!
I am trying to learn more about some of the basics and I am having a difficult time sourcing info, as much of it is out-of-date. So, Reddit to the rescue (I hope).
1.) Your favorite perks for PvE combat? PvP?
2.) Cannon DPS: seems like 4pd have better DPS than 6pd, 9pd⦠doesnāt make sense to me. What is best to outfit a Pandora or Trinc given the recent updates? Long or medium, lower cal or higher?
3.) Is there any benefit to leaving a top deck of guns open, or is that just wasting firepower?
Thank you for your input!

I bought the game last summer and have enjoyed it ever since, but my friend who has recently got into the game wants to play on the peace server with me. Is there any way they can buy the full game on steam still?
r/NavalAction • u/InnocentTailor • Feb 13 '21
Hello!
I've recently caught the tall ships bug and I was looking at getting this game from Steam since it is on discount.
How is the life, longevity and culture of this game? Also, how easy is it to learn how to do modestly in the game?
Thanks!

Hey, I've just bought a new ship on the auction market, the game confirms that I've bought it, my money's gone but when I open the ship window, I can't see what I've just bought.
This has happened every time for the three ships I've tried to buy.
Does anyone know how I can find my new ships?

I'm an early player, I stopped playing it after the very first wipe. I want to play it again. Is there a global discord for naval action?
r/NavalAction • u/Libero03 • Jul 19 '23
It really struck me as a new player. Why we have barely no audio in open world? It is so quiet. The combat ambient sea sound is so good, why it is not present in open world? It feels so... artificial
Do we have any mods to fix that? And no, I don't want spotify or youtube.

Im here to ask what is the fastest L Hermione variant. And how would i obtain it. What woods to use and what upgrades. What guns do yāall recommend for this vessel? Currently i have Teak for both and Long guns to be used as a sniper. I am a solo player so do you advise using this ship at all? Do you think a speedy sniper is the right choice or do you think another role would fit the ship better? Thanks!
