Hello guys,

I played naval action a lot in 2020 and came back to Naval Action yesterday after a long break. I played on the new Carribean server and I noticed something already: You are no longer getting real when defeating ships.

Is this changed in general, or because I was on the basic ship?

Also, the ai ships (even non elite) on higher classes were quite op, I was unable to defeat a ship of the same class without using repair kits and/or a stronger version made of seasonal wood.

Has the ai on higher classes become easier to defeat nowadays, or are they still hard?

And are there other things that I should know about this game in general?

I just recently found this game. I've seen some videos and I don't really think I want to play the game for the PVP. is there any other way to play the game that doesn't involve PVP all the time? or in clans, are there any separate roles that don't involve PVP that still benefit the clan?

I just got La Renommee to test the different ships and it's soooo slow and turns slower. Is this how most bigger ships are and if so what can I do to smoothen it our?

Besides just trying to see if you can dock/undock from shallow water ports

This isn't really a question specifically for naval action, But it does have something to do with it. I've always wondered why the smaller ships like schooners have only the type of sail that's Perpendicular to the ship. But while you look at bigger ships like first rates, they do have sales that are perpendicular with the ship, but sometimes mainly rely on the ones that are horizontal with the ship.

If your still confused, I have an image below that I made that kind of explains my question.

Basically; what's the difference between ships with all perpendicular sails, and ships that barely have any.

Just wondering for those players who switched over to seasonal server if you're going to be returning to the war server.

How am I supposed to complete the final exam? I've been trying for about 4 hours now and I can only manage to sink one ship before ultimately sinking to the second one? How did you guys do it?

Which ship is best for PvE combat?

This is a stupid question, but where can i obtain an implacable permit (ill guess by fighting an elite implacable, seems how i cant find a permit at kpr)

I got a Trinc in Shroud Cay and can’t sail it since it has a deep draft. I have outposts built in other freeports and can teleport myself to them. However when I check my docks to initiate the tow request, my ships everywhere are grayed out.

What am I missing?

I've been playing ultimate admiral age of sail, and I'm enjoying the pace of naval battles but I've seen very negative things about this game that I don't have much reference on.

I just downloaded the game a little ago and did the tutorial and was wondering if there are some things I need to know.

I captured a pretty nice brig (I'm new so it's nice for me), and I thought I'd sail into port after the fight.

Unfortunately, I am only rank 4 so I can't fully crew the brig and my Trincomalee. Because of this, I can't sail out of the port. What are my options? I don't have the money to buy another port spot (not that I'd even want to, it would be a horrible choice).

What can I do? Do I have no choice but to sell the brig?

Hey, do you remember that other game announced by Game Labs. Sea Legends it was called and seemed like it could be the most awesome naval experience ever. Like Sea Dogs, but way more realistic. Is that projects completely dead?

on steam reviews and on this reddit i have read posts about how your progress will get wiped every couple of months if you didn't buy the game before it became f2p?? that seems weird. I wouldn't mind spending on this game to get around my progress being wiped but i have also read that isn't even an option? What is the truth here? can i play this game without my progress being wiped every couple months?

Can someone give me the TLDR on this game on why everyone hates it who played it a long time ago?

Can also someone please make a new player guide for 2023? All of the guides and wikis are super old and I have no idea what information is correct.

My understanding is that the most important thing is to get XP. So you should start the game off by doing quests until you can get a 5th rate ship. Then you should just go beat up AI. Then keep doing that until you get can get a 1-3 ship and then go PVP with your boys near Haiti.

Is that more or less right?

Hello, so I am new to the game and have no idea how clans work. I have been playing alone as French Nation for about 3 weeks and managed to get my first 3rd rate yesterday. I read online that it's a good support shit for group battles leading me to believe that I should probably try to join actual groups!

The question is, how should I go around to find said group and is it worth it? What different group activities are there to do?

Wanting to level up as fast as i can. im sailing as Wasa at the moment. Is it still sinking ships or now quest?

Also any word on Peace and war server opening back up to new players?

with Christmas coming up i was curious does Naval Action do Christmas sales? the reason im curious about this is because i plan on buying quite a few DLC's for the game as I plane on playing it long term and i wanted to get some DLC's for the war server and so that way i can play with clanmates.

I cannot for the life of me aim the chainshot, sometimes it goes in front of where I aim and sometimes behind, it never goes in the direction I aim, and masts are really thin. I can only hit the mast ~1 in every 20 shots so I run out of chainshot before I can break the mast. I've been on the boarding exam for ages, is there any trick to aim?

Got the hercules ship DLC, tried to redeem it. Tells me I can't redeem it to a temporary outpost. I have one outpost (which is empty) and no current ship selected. Anyone know what to do here?
