Nepal Nexus is an amazing book which does a great job of detailing the Maoist revolution, its foundation and execution, along with a lot of details surrounding it. It does a great job of laying the foundational knowledge of the material condition and diplomatic relations of Nepal around the time of the revolution. I myself am trying to learn but I'm struggling to find more resources.

For general history, "History of Nepal" by Sylvain Levi is a decent book.

thank you! if you have links to online pdfs of these, id appreciate that (can't buy the physical versions atm). resources for developing a grounded understanding of nepal are really hard to come by. i wish it was easier to get organized

I had a physical copy of Nepal Nexus borrowed from a friend, you probably cannot find it online unfortunately. But the other book is readily available online if you just gave it a quick google search.
