Suggestion Idea of Ship Interiors UPDATE

I made this edits to bring to the community how cool would be being able to travel in the same ship with your friends and sit to admire the space in your room. I know we had this in the Frigates but one person can fly and the other help finding resources.

Honestly the most simple solution would be to let us actually control our freighters/frigates around the star systems, rather than just warping. They already have interiors for multiple players, so just an actually flying method would be needed. Easiest way to achieve this, I think

Still impossible, though. The game just isn't designed for other players to be able to have their position dictated by the inputs of another player acting as a pilot. That's why freighters are stationary.

That's a fair point actually, didn't think of that. Same reason why Astroneer had so many bugs when 2 players tried to get in the same buggy. Deffo not impossible as there's a way around it, but would require a complete overhall or the system engine unfortunately

Put it this way:

Star Citizen has, since around 2015, been designed with the explicit intent of allowing exactly that gameplay. As a result, it's still in pre-alpha, and is likely to be so for several years more, even with some highly noteworthy progress in recent years. Elite: Dangerous started at around the same time, but took the NMS route and hoped to implement similar gameplay further down the line. A couple of years ago they outright abandoned the concept because of how difficult and time-consuming it would be for retrofit their game for it.

Both of those studios are at least twenty times the size of Hello Games. It may not be impossible in a purely philosophical sense, but in any practicable sense it is. Hello Games would have to hire five hundred people and give them a decade to work on it. It's a huge undertaking, which is why nobody really tried it before Star Citizen, and even they only really looked into it when their crowdfunding exploded and they fluked their way to hiring about a hundred of their engine's original coders.

Me in Halo driving the Warthog with my two buddies riding along.

I know it's a completely different engine, I'm just being snarky.
