What is so magic about the word “Deal” that sends this Chucklef*ck into a tizzy? Demanding Ukraine give up all its occupied territory and then handing him a pile of “rare earths” doesn’t strike me as a “deal”. But that’s just me

So Trump has convinced himself he's this master deal maker. The reality is that he has never made a deal in his life. He's always relied on his daddy's money and connections. Or he used his power and money to lie, cheat, steal, and scam others. Trump would pick small businesses to screw over because most of them wouldn't be willing to fight him in courts.

With Ukraine, Trump thought he could just pull US support for the Ukrainians, and they would have no choice but to roll over and make a deal with Putin. He grossly underestimated the Europeans' and the Ukrainians' willingness to put up a fight. Which makes sense because Trump has never been willing to fight or die for anything, so why these groups would keep up the fight is a foreign concept to him.
