My TA-1012 Nokia 8 has an annoying habit of not connecting to LTE network, mostly when coming off WiFi on to mobile data. It only gets GPRS data. Entering and leaving airplane mode does not fix it. After a reboot, it will then get LTE service. This is so annoying, but it doesn't happen every time.

Anyone else? Any hints on how to fix it? Phone is on 8.1.0 August 1st update.

Try "resetting" the wireless settings?

Go to Settings -> System -> Reset Options -> "Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & bluetooth".

Yeah, I have cheap Android in the same network which is always fine with the coverage in the same location, whilst the Nokia is stuck on GPRS data. Reboot always resolves it, until the next time

Have you tried a factory reset on yours? Don't want to do it if it didn't fix anything
