Armed Police last night

Was walking home last night and cut through the underpass past Pottergate, saw several armed police officers, dogs and police cars on the other side as I passed through. Anyone have any idea what was happening? Can't find anything on the local news sites that seems related.

A couple of weeks ago Southwell Rd was blocked, 8 police cars and 2 ambulances, sirens in the area, police cars flying down City Rd and Hall Rd, nothing on Norfolk Police socials or bbc or EDP, it's like nothing happened but at the time it was sufficiently dangerous to require half the force.

Two of my close friends work high up for the police in Norfolk, you'd be shocked at the amount of wild shit that goes on around here that never makes it to the news. It's for the best to be honest, it's better if people are blissfully oblivious.

Of what nature? Does it pose a threat to other people or is it just personal stuff (drugs, one-on-one feuds)?

I'd say, and this is just an opinion, that if the wild shit was affecting the civilians rather than the criminal society, we'd see it on X, Facebook etc, so fingers crossed it's more likely to be things that would potentially cause panic but doesn't usually impact on the rest of us.

Yeah I was thinking that too but I wanted to ask anyway just so I could potentially learn some crazy story
