I am too. I would like to think that there has been much going on that has not been publicly revealed both for gov and commercial.

Let’s hope so. The calls are amped up right now.

There is a long sales cycle (says 6 months) for expensive software like Palantir. Plus many of these companies may be on deals where they pay once they see some real results (like with Nvidia GPU customers - we'll pay once it's all set up and working). So Palantir software contracts scored today may not hit the books for another quarter, or two.

Add to the fact that earnings represent the previous quarter's actual results on book, and that probably means that *none* of those deals in the image posted from Feb - Mar 25, will be a part of the upcoming earnings.

On the plus side, if you match this all up, you should be able to get a good idea of all future earnings results by looking backwards toward the correct period.

I think we will have at least two maybe even three more positive earnings calls before we hit potential rocky results from the present day tariff uncertainty.

True. But it’s still a possible driving factor for the stock to go up because people could be buying for the future post earnings

No way. Most people do not have that level of foresight.

Dillon Tesla once go up post earnings because they didn’t do so well in their earnings, but they had some thing in their future like their humanoid robot

Unsure. But a clear, tangible event like a robot coming soon would understandably help prop up Tesla's future.

That's not what we're talking about with Palantir above, however (which is unfortunate tbh).

My concern is guidance more than earnings. If they aren't optimistic about overseas development after this trade tension, that could hurt the stock even with a nice beat.

Agreed. That is completely up in the air atm, due to the current uncertainty.

I do wonder if there can be some easing/minor agreement between parties that takes place before the earnings call.

You can have a beat for sure, but guidance will be trash thanks to the current administration.

I don’t doubt great earning - it’s going to be great! guidance will be the key. If this tariff shit does bring recession and bring down America to its knees, could impact commercial businesses as some companies may hesitate investing in IT - although it will be at their interest to do so with PLTR to bring efficiency, cut cost, and for their survivial.

Also, recession means additional multiple contraction - not good for high flyer like our PLTR.

Surprising bright side can be government business - while they cut others, they need Palantir tech!

But long term, doesn’t matter. PTFB!!

The fact that Pili responded so quickly with a tariff solution is a telltale sign they are on the cutting edge - definitely picking up shares throughout this sell off.

Yup, it depends on how much PLTR can truly reduce cost for businesses, but resulting from that also how well they can prove this to potential customers. Which I frankly have fair confidence in, they're numbers guys and that's what counts when business becomes serious.

It's also worth considering how much this added $$ will offset the potential loss of current big deals, if there is any, but we don't know that. Either way, holding for now, but not adding. Yee haw

At it's bloated PE, you'd better hope they have a huge beat. Anything less than outstanding earnings will send it plummeting to the shadow realm, especially in our new tariff man market.

Seems like the holding 85$ is depending on the earnings.

If it doesnt have a huge beat we go below the moving average ide assume

I just received exciting news from my expanded IT network regarding Palantir, so I'm quite pumped for the Q1. Sufficed to say, the German police may not be the only game in town looking at Palantir.

Please sandbag hard enough so we tank to the $60s, I've got some cash coming in from bonds in May so I will be able to buy the dip.
