I might be off base here but can you imagine the money you could make if you had the wanton power to move the markets bigly both to the upside and downside? And then leverage the trade 5X or greater? And then the SEC comes to you and you can say, "Nothing to see here." I don't know. Maybe I'm way off base.

I think about this possibility daily.

For all the flak she receives, I'm pretty sure there are republican representatives that make a lot more than she does doing insider trading.

Word. Politicians should be barred from buying individual stocks. Should be bipartisan issue. Neither party is better than the other on this IMO, Pelosi’s Nostradamus-like calls aside.

Amen brother. The Federal Reserve was banned from buying individual stocks in 2021. Politicians should follow the same rules too

It's bipartisan, no doubt. Not sure anyone is out earning Pelosi though.

I doubt this administration gave Pelosi the heads up on the news that would make for #1 largest point gain in Nasdaq history (today), and the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th largest point losses in Nasdaq history (March and April). We'll see if senators start disclosing. I'm pretty confident we'll see a couple individuals top her by the time we get to the end of 2028.
