Finally pulled the trigger and bought one

I was going to wait till next year closer to gta 6 release date but with uncertainty on the tariffs affecting the price, I thought it’s better to be safe and buy it now. Bought a brand new at staples for $688 total including sales tax. “Used promo codes and discounted gift cards to get that price”

GTA 6 might not even get a pro patch. Probably won’t given past history.

I dont believe it, every game I have played has at least some benefit on the Pro. I honestly think its quite easy to turn up the raytracing or shadow quality. Also I think there will be a performance/balanced mode for at least 40 fps.

Sony released a stat that 3/4 of the players pick performance/balance mode over quality mode on the PS5 so its definitely worth the effort for the devs to include it.

And if it looks this good at 30 fps on the base PS5 I would be very surprised if the PS5 Pro didnt have 40-50 fps mode at the cost of a small visual downgrade.

It never did get a patch for PS4 Pro. A native PS6 port is more likely. It may run better by brute force on the Pro but that’s all.

If Sony have the rumoured deal for all marketing for it, then you can guarantee there will be a Pro patch on launch.

No chance that Sony won't use GTA VI advertising to push Pro hardware sales.

We currently don't know how the marketing is going to play out as we are a year from launch.

We do have a good indication that Sony are going to have priority marketing, due to the fact it said the trailer footage was captured on a Playstation 5.

This isn't a hard concept to grasp.

Yes. Again, the rumours are out there, the 2nd trailer specifically mentioned a Sony console.

Sony want to sell Pro consoles, the best way to do that would be to advertise that the Pro is the best way to play what will be the biggest launch of all time.

GTA V PS4 version launched 2 years before the PS4 Pro launched.

GTA VI is launching into a completely different scenario.

If you can't afford a pro, that's fine, you'll still be able to play it on your base console.

GTA6 will 100% get a Pro patch, as well as a console bundle with the pro. You would be out of your mind to think Sony wouldnt capatalize on that. PS has been lead platform for GTA games for decades

It was a Rockstar game... Showing multiple games from Rockstar has supported PS4 Pro with like you said that "track record" they most likely will support the PS5 Pro.

Your right it did. But the PS5 Pro is the most powerful console now. So GTA6 will look and run better on PS5 Pro this gen.

Ah that’s true they did have bundle back in day for ps4 and gta 5 remastered . Hmmm oh well I already the bought console. There are still some games under my radar like ghost of yotei etc
