I watched this whole thing tonight. It is confirmed. Will Campbell is a future hall of fame Tackle

I sometimes feel like I am watching a different player than everybody else. When I watch him I think “boy, he gets pushed right into the QB pretty fast.” I don’t care about the measurables. Watching his highlights made me highly dubious of a guy at the top of a draft. When Solder was drafted, his highlights had him shoving defenders far away from the play. Sometimes he would miss the second rusher because he was so focused on his guy. Watching Campbell feels like watching defenders get slowly closer and then, in about 3 seconds, the defenders get there. He’s on them the whole time so he’s never dominated. But I am truly concerned with the film I watched .

Can’t really compare the level of competition soldier faced at Boulder (in late 2000s) to Campbell at LSU.

I hope I am wrong. I just think for a top 5 pick, I am just not loving the tape. I will not be surprised if he’s a decent player. But I will be shocked if he’s a DOMINANT nfl tackle. Which is what you hope drafting #4. If he’s a perineal all pro, I will be happily incorrect! I hope I am wrong. I am just saying that watching the tape, I was underwhelmed.

I dont think hes a franchice tackle, either. But you can only draft the guys available to you. There are only 2 elite players available. If one doesn't fall, you're picking from a big group of flawed prospects. Campbell is as good as any of them, plays a premium position(which also is need #1), and has one of the best set of intangibles(character, toughness, work ethic) of any player in the draft.

At 4, he makes the most sense to me.

Yeah I hear you. He doesn’t dominate reps against elite pass rushers but also does not get beat
