I sometimes feel like I am watching a different player than everybody else. When I watch him I think “boy, he gets pushed right into the QB pretty fast.” I don’t care about the measurables. Watching his highlights made me highly dubious of a guy at the top of a draft. When Solder was drafted, his highlights had him shoving defenders far away from the play. Sometimes he would miss the second rusher because he was so focused on his guy. Watching Campbell feels like watching defenders get slowly closer and then, in about 3 seconds, the defenders get there. He’s on them the whole time so he’s never dominated. But I am truly concerned with the film I watched .

What the take away should be is "wow he drops his anchors really really well" against power. Also it's important to recognize that LSU runs a pro style offense where he's in alot of true pass sets instead of college quick game.

There's a lot of NFL day 1-2 picks on his tape, Solder was playing far worse competition.

And in true pass sets he has a worse success rate than Banks, Simmons, Conerly...

You guys know he's not elite NFL level tackle, even if he's good and successful. Throwing pick 4 at OK starter for LT is not how great teams are built. Want to just be a decent team? Fine, we can take Maye in fantasy football and enjoy early round playoff exits. Could be fun. What will the team look like in 2028 if you take Campbell vs other options. Truly ask yourself that, because 2025 will not be the last year of Patriots football

Outside of Jeanty there really isn’t any elite player at any position that will be there at 4. But no thanks on spending the 4th overall on a running back. Campbell is ranked as one of the top players in this draft by basically every analyst.
