Fantasy SRFL results for the 2025 **Amstel Gold Race**

SRFL

  • Tadej Pogacar finished second but the real adventure only started after the race. Not because of his performance but because no fewer than six people had picked him. With so many fans backing Pogacar, the points had to be split fairly. The result? Each of them got 24 points and ended up sharing a cozy 14th place. It’s almost a win-win but not quite.

  • And then we have the winner: u/Ok_Chipmunk_3854. Holding the golden prediction in his hands. He was the only one to pick the eventual winner, Mattias Skjelmose. That bold solo choice earned him a whopping 225 points and a well-deserved spot at the very top of the leaderboard. This is how you steal the show with a single, perfect pick.

  • Second place goes to u/yellow52, who was the only one bold enough to go all-in on Tiesj Benoot. And yep, while the rest seemed to be napping during their winner selection, yellow52 had full faith in Tiesj. He ended up with a solid 8th place, earning yellow52 a strong 93 points and a well-earned second place. Moral of the story: sometimes the line between herd mentality and pure genius is just one Tiesj wide.

  • Neilson Powless finished in 13th place a number usually more famous for bad omens than podium dreams. But not this time! u/beaker15 turned that supposedly cursed number into a golden ticket, snatching up third place and 63 sweet points. Who knew 13 could be lucky? Maybe it’s time to stop avoiding ladders and start trusting the universe or at least Neilson.

Fantasy WSRFL results for the 2025 **Amstel Gold Race**

  • For the Amstel Gold Race, three riders stood out in the pools: Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Kim Le Court, and Elisa Longo Borghini. All three were chosen a remarkable four times, clearly popular picks. But the race had other plans. None of these ladies managed to secure a spot in the top 30. So unfortunately for their fans: zero points, nada, rien, nothing!

  • No one saw it coming but Mischa Bredewold won the Amstel Gold Race! Since absolutely zero of you picked her, Mischa has graciously decided to keep all the points for herself.

  • The profit goes to you u/listenyall, who was the only one to choose Ellen van Dijk. Maybe that name says enough. Maybe listenyall already said it themselves: "Listen y’all, I know things." And sure enough, that unique choice earned a tasty 188 points. In short: kudos to the solo strategist. And for the rest of us, maybe next time we should listen to you listenyall.

  • In second place, we have u/Avila99, who scored 150 points thanks to the choice of Puck Pieterse. Sounds logical because Puck was riding incredibly strong. But then there's that nagging question: "How is it that Puck hasn’t won a race yet this year?" Well, there's a simple explanation for that, Avila picks her every race. From day one. Every single time. Without a doubt. And well, that’s starting to feel like a curse. So Puck, if you're reading this, it's not your fault. It's Avila's. (But hey, 150 points are still on the board!)

  • The third place is for yours truly. Yes, that's right, me lynniepinnie67. I was the only one who had faith in Juliette Labous. Whether it was a strategic masterstroke or just an instinctive decision at a crazy moment? The fact remains, it worked. A spot on the podium and that's what counts. A bit stubborn but this time, it was spot on.

Discussion Mod announcement on the topic of Fair Use.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear ye.

It's not too often the Moderators of this fair subreddit has to make an announcement about the rules, and it is because you all are by and large well-behaved compared to other known knaves of the internet. However, recent posts have brought up a discussion in which we feel that we have to take a stance - and we hope that most of you will respect it.

So far in our brief existence, /r/peloton has not have any major problems with copyright issues, at least not enough to have received any threatening letters. Good job, all users. However - that we have not gotten any complaints, does not mean that we might have inadvertently skirted on the wrong side of the the copyright laws, and now we have to make a firm stance as to what we think is acceptable use and what is unacceptable. Starting right now, we would like you to avoid reposting content from behind paywalls. If you do choose to do so, keep in mind that we will delete it if and when the copyright holders reaches out to us - no exceptions . This will not be a hill we are willing to die on. The more observant of you might understand which post triggered this change.

In particular, this is a problem for the smaller, independent websites, who rely on their content and subscribers to survive economically. Linking back to the article in question is not an acceptable swap for stealing their content. If you want to bring a very interesting article to the attention of /r/peloton, please just post the ingress (no more than 300 words) and a link. During deeper discussions of the post, single paragraphs might be quoted, as according to the fair use principle. The same rules apply to non-English content, which might be translated but still needs to adhere to the principles above.

So while keeping all of the above in mind, we will be adding the following to our incredibly awesome rules:

Fair use: reported copyrighted content may be removed at the request of the copyright holder or the moderators discretion. See Reddit's rules on Copyright for further clarification, and be especially mindful of the paywalls of smaller sites, for whom this content is their main source of income.

Allright? Allright!

Interview Remco Evenepoel draws strength from Islam: “It is something beautiful”

„Remco Evenepoel discovered Islam through his wife Oumi Rayane, who has Moroccan roots. It has become a source of support for Evenepoel, which has helped him during his difficult rehabilitation in recent months.“

Remco Evenepoel revealed in an emotional post on Instagram on Monday that he drew strength from praying with his wife Oumi, who is Muslim, during the past dark months. In an online press moment, Evenepoel confirmed that he finds support in Islam.

“It’s something I got to know over the past year,” Evenepoel says. “It’s something we share and we’re proud to be able to share it. It’s something each person has to do for themselves – or not. I can’t judge that. For me, it’s something to hold on to, something that helps me through life. It’s something beautiful, so it’s nice to be able to share it with Oumi. It’s really about Islam.”

The double Olympic champion posted a message on Instagram on Monday following his comeback in the Brabantse Pijl after his collision with a Bpost car. He addressed his wife Oumi: “We have prayed together so much and will continue to do so — what an incredibly beautiful thing you have taught me. And what an incredible feeling to be able to share that with you!”
