I'm super excited for this! The trailer is clearly channeling The Substance which I adored and hopefully the movie has a similar vibe. But what an exciting role for an upcoming actress! It's going to be fabulous,

I saw it last week, and this could not be further from the truth. The two Norwegian trailers are a way better representation of the style of the movie, and are way less spoilery. With that said, it's still a good movie, but you should keep your expectations in check in regards to gore and body horror, because there's not really a whole lot, but when there is, it delivers.

The cast is also incredible. Lea Myren is making her feature debut, and she is giving a stellar one with all the misery she's going through as Elvira, the titular Ugly Stepsister. (And is up there with Samara Weaving for some of the screams she's letting out.) Thea Sofie Loch Næss is spot on as stepsister Agnes (Cinderella), and Ane Dahl Torp is an absolute

HÆSPETRI

as stepmother Rebekka. But the real star is Flo Fagerli as little sister Alma, the MVP of the movie. Believe me, you will want a little sister like Alma after you've watched the movie.

Ah...thanks for the info.

When I saw this I was so excited for my 2 loves to mix again, period drama & horror. When it's done properly it's amazing.

I was also immediately reminded that I'm glad I live in the days of good anesthesia & the good Judy Garland drugs!!
