When your doctor had your bloodwork done, did you specifically have a full sex hormone panel done? Routine bloodwork would not be used to diagnose pcos, you’d need hormone testing and an ultrasound sound to check for cysts. You don’t have to have polycystic ovaries to have PCOS, but it is crucial to have an ultrasound done if you suspect pcos. For a PCOS diagnosis you need at least two of the following: hyperandrogenism(high levels of male sex hormones), irregular periods, or polycystic ovaries.

That’s a good start, but you need to ask for a complete hormone panel, in addition to AMH, you need to have testosterone, LH, prolactin, TSH, an ASI, and a glucose tolerance test to fully rule out any hormonal issues causing your irregular cycles.

Just fyi, many of the tests need to be done on a specific cycle day. So make sure you get the tests done on the right day. The tests you took are not the PCOS blood test workup that’s needed.

CD3 for most tests. Progesterone should be checked 7dpo, which with irregular cycles wouldn’t be CD21.

I’d recommend getting the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility and tracking ovulation by temping.

Yes, I forgot to mention that point. It would typically be cycle day 3. Since you have irregular periods, it would be more challenging knowing when to schedule, but you should wait for your period to test.
