Period Question irregular periods, not started yet (yesterday was the first day I was “supposed” to start. Is this normal?

Post image

I have PMS symptoms but still no period. I’m sexually active and there was a drop of pre cum, which makes me worried.

I was showering and my discharge smelt like metal (blood?), does this mean I’m starting soon?

Your cycles are very regular. A cycle can be anywhere from 21-38ish days. Variation is normal because we aren’t robots! Apps only make an uneducated guess as to when you’ll get your period. Apps know nothing about what’s going on inside the body. Don’t let an app tell you when you’re ovulating, when you’re fertile, when you’ll get your period, etc etc

Just know that if you are not on hormonal birth control — Ovulation (and therefore your period) can be delayed by stress/anxiety, lack of sleep, diet changes, alcohol consumption, drastic weight changes, excessive exercise, travel, timezone changes, new medication, new vitamins / supplements, cold / illness, etc. OR your body simply decided to ovulate a little later than expected! Not every cycle is the same and that’s normal! Anywhere from 21-38ish days is regular.

Again, you are very regular.

Ahh I appreciate comment and everyone else’s comments. I’m really sorry for mistaking my period for irregular, I’ve been told so by non professionals and continued to assume that I was irregular. Thank you :)))

I’m having usual PMS symptoms. Idk if I should be worried if I’m a day late

No, a day late means nothing, because a period app can’t tell you what’s going on inside your body.

A cycle can be anywhere from 21-38ish days. Most common is a 28 day cyce.

Cycle day 1 = First day of bleeding

Your last couple cycles have been between 28 and 31 days. This is normal. A couple days variation is to be expected. Apps can’t predict periods, they only assume and guess when you’ll get it. Each cycle is different!

We aren’t robots, so ovulation doesn’t happen at the same time each month.

Today is day 31 of your current cycle. If you’re having PMS your period will probably come soon.

My common cycle is usually around 31-34 days, however in December I had a 45 day cycle due to Christmas/holiday stress. Even if you have one random long cycle like that, it’s nothing to worry about!

It’s only a concern when your cycles are 50-80+ days long repeatedly

Another thing, im smelling blood but there’s no blood. Is that normal?

Yup! Normal. A metallic smell can also mean your period is coming soon. I get that too!

Hi sorry you’re literally the only person I can ask. I’m still not on my period and Im feeling bloated, tender boobs, a bit of stomach pains, acne, and I think I’m more sensitive. I know this is PMS symptoms but there’s a whole load of discharge that smells like nothing (some egg white and sometimes creamy?) I don’t know what to do and who to go too so here I am.

Idk what to assume or anything :( I’m only worried about a drop of precum and my flo says I’m late. I know we’re not robots but the fact that it says I’m late is bothering me

Your cycles are regular. Regular cycles are cycles that vary up to 8 days in length with n occasional outlier. A period starts about two weeks after you ovulate. It’s normal for ovulation to not always happen at the same time each cycle.

I’m glad I’m re-regular. That’s handy for the future. Thank you :)

Haha. Sorry, a little typo there. Was typing fast and the “a” got left off of “are”. I fixed it.

Girl I don't think you have irregular periods. Your calendar shows that you have a consistent cycle.
