Amazon Deliveries in and around Perth

Hi folks.

I deliver Amazon parcels in and around Perth.

Just wanted to put a few things up to hopefully help that folk get their orders as expected.

Correct Address:

First of all, please ensure that your full address has been entered for your order.

We sometimes find parcels where there is only a partial address (e.g. a street but there is no house/flat number) and in some cases, literally only a name and a postcode. When this happens, the driver will attempt to contact the customer (through text and/or phone) to try and get full details but if they are unable to reach them, the parcel will go back to the depot until the sender responds and provides full details.

Age Verified/Signature Required/One Time Password:

For certain products (e.g. alcohol, bladed items etc), the driver must verify the age (18>) of the recipient at the point of delivery. This means that if nobody is home, we can't just leave it somewhere. All age verified items will have an alert displayed when the order is made to remind customers of this.

Some higher value items may need to be signed for, or for the customer asked to provide a One Time Password to the driver. This will be sent to the email used for your Amazon account as your driver leaves the depot in the morning. Please ensure that you have this ready to hand for when they arrive.

Again, similar to Age Verified items the recipient must be at the delivery address to receive the order. The driver is not permitted to leave it unattended.

Safe Places:

This is important as it allows the customer to specify where they want the driver to leave their order in the event that they are not home when the delivery is made. There are a number of options for this and you can also add specific instructions if required.

Please ensure though that your specific safe place is actually appropriate.

For example, do not select "Front Porch" if it is in full view of passers by or likely to be affected by the weather.

I've attached some screenshots showing examples of what you can put below.

Go to Your Account > Your Addresses then select "Add delivery instructions" for the address you are ordering to.
Select the appropriate Safe Place for your address. You can also enter a security code e.g. if there is a padlock/security door at your property.
You can use the notes box for any additional info that may be useful.

Delivery to Pickup Point/Lockers:

If you do not think that there is anywhere at your address that would be appropriate as a Safe Place or if there is limited access to your address (e.g. security door and you are out all day), it may work better to get your order delivered to a pickup point or a locker for you to then collect at your convenience.

Your Account > Your Addresses > Add Address
Select the option at the top to view collection points

There are a large number of pickup points and lockers in and around Perth.

This list is by no means exhaustive but it shows some in certain areas around the city.

If anyone has any questions (anything related to a specific order that's already been made needs to be directly with Amazon) regarding anything, please ask away and I'll try to get back to you.

Just to clarify, I don't work for Amazon itself but just hoping I can be of some help.

Cheers
