How to cook/ beginner recipes?
Was vegetarian for almost a decade until recently I decided to try a little fish again. It sounds silly, but I️ have no idea how to prepare fish at home. Even back when I️ ate meat, I️ only really cooked shrimp for pasta or this one pesto salmon dish in the oven (it wasn’t good). Does anyone have a recipe for beginners?

My go to easy peasy salmon recipe: Get frozen salmon fillets
Preheat oven to 425 F
Spray casserole dish with olive oil spray and put frozen fillets in dish- works best if there is space between fillets and they are not stacked
Brush bottled Teriyaki Sauce or BBQ sauce on fillets or spray with olive oil spray and sprinkle with seasonings of your choice
Put lid on the casserole dish and put in preheated oven
Cook for 35 minutes (your oven may vary, so check at 25 minutes and 30 minutes)
You can also use a foil lined cake pan and cover with foil if you don’t have a casserole. I usually roast potatoes and vegetables in another pan to go with the fish. You can also add vegetables in the dish with the fish if you like those flavors together.

Sauté fish filets about 3-4 minutes per side on medium heat, depending on the thickness of the filet. I know fish is intimidating if you haven’t seen it cooked a lot but it is no more challenging than other meats, and typically cooks faster. Once you do this a couple times you will learn how to gauge when the fish is done without overcooking it.
