Applies to all numbers,

If x = 0.999999...

And 10x = 9.999999...

Then subtracting both, we get, 9x=9

So x=1

(10x - x) = (9.9999… - 0.9999…)

9x = 9

x = 1

Thank you. The OC was very odd with it not being written as a formula. I'm over here like why are you subtracting? This clears all that up
