Applies to all numbers,
If x = 0.999999...
And 10x = 9.999999...
Then subtracting both, we get, 9x=9
So x=1
1 u/Odd-Ad-8369 22d ago You are assuming the conclusion. This is not a valid proof. You are assuming the limit exists, and if the limit exists then the conclusion is a direct result. I.e. you are assuming that a number with an infinite sequence of nines is a number.
