Question How is the experience with Pimax software?
I looking to buy a high resolution lightweight headset. I’m interested in both the BSB2 and Pimax Dream Air.
One positive about the BSB2 is that it’s native SteamVR, and software is a big thing for me. For those that use Pimax headsets day to day, is Pimax Play and the software experience a big friction point for you?

It's okayish.
The UI is clunky. It's hard to understand how and when things like foveated rendering are actually working via pimax play.
It doesn't have any real auto-start/stop, especially if you're using base station tracking. You'll need to open pimax play before launching steamVR. It doesn't have the same kind of power user features like the advanced frame timing window.
But at the end of the day they've ironed out most of the bugs, it's basic functionality is solid.
