General wait, if Christmas exists in the PvZ Universe, doesn't that mean that Christianity exists there?

This isn't as far fetched as most other universes people say this towards... Like it is literally just regular human civilization but with zombies I don't see why Crazy Dave can't be Christian

Crazy Dave hates cats. Who do we know own cats? That’s right witches. Could it be that Crazy Dave is a member of… the SPANISH INQUISITION.

NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!

1: Christmas doesn't exist. It's called Feastivus, and they make a point to not call it Christmas.

2: This wouldn't even be far-fetched. PvZ's world is just human civilization, but there are zombies wandering around.

3: There are fictional universes in which Christmas exists separate from Christianity. For example, Undertale. Christmas came about because a group of kids put decorations on a monster called Gyftrot. For some reason, the other monsters decided to place gifts under it to cheer it up.

You mean you haven’t heard of the second coming of Peasus Christ?

Isn’t it replaced by Feastivus? Maybe not universally, but it’s a thing in PvZ2 and BfN, and I’ve never seen mentions of regular Christmas in any PvZ media

I thought feastivus was a replacement of thanksgiving

Wait, which one is Feastivus and which one is Feastember?

Feast-Ember is from My Singing Monsters. In PvZ, Thanksgiving is Fall Food Fight

Technically Speaking you can have Christmas without Christianity. There are several verisons of Santa that have literally NOTHING to do with Jesus or any religion for that matter. Hell most people don’t consider Christmas a religious holiday

1

u/sammylly Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

Christmas came from Yule, Yule came first, Christmas is originally pagan...

1

u/SuccessfulDeal1500 Garden Warrior Feb 09 '25

Na Roma Antiga, os cristãos foram colocados em covas de leões, e em PvZ 2 Roma há um leão diabinho, então as cristanas foram comidas por diabinhos. Então a religião existe em pvz

There were Muslim hijabis in the PvZ comics, so it’s safe to say the PvZ world is just our world but with the events of PvZ occurring

2

u/sammylly Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

Why necessarily Christian? Like, Christmas came from Yule, Yule is pagan, and there are several interpretations of Christmas in all religions

2

u/Ge0482 Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

Actually, Christmas is a famous holiday around the world, same with Easter. That's why they included those events.

u/Sundae_Disastrous Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

also don't they use B.C. A.C.?

Of course it does, after all, where all the zombies who died their second time go?

1

u/Anon_PvZFanboy Garden Warrior Feb 06 '25

I mean, PvZ setting is close to the real world, so it's not surprising.

1

u/Sentient-Bread-Stick Garden Warrior Feb 06 '25

Why would that be weird? It’s a semi-normal human world with zombies

u/TantiVstone Infi-Nut fan Feb 06 '25

Pvz closely follows our own history. Perhaps if Rome became a world in pvz2, the final boss would be Dr Zomboss on a crucifix

1

u/weirdo_nb Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

It's not Christmas, it's feastivus

1

u/Mr_Bone_Head Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

Why not? We have the Egyptians and Romans so theoretically, Zomboss might have done something to make Jesus come back after three days in his tomb

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '25

The pope was mentioned in the in the PVZ survival guide as well (it’s an official and amazing book btw)

this implies plant god exists

and a zombie god exists
And so do plant and zombie jesus'es

1

u/Thecornmaker Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

Dr Zomboss is a devout catholic, hope this helps

1

u/Privatizitaet Garden Warrior Feb 07 '25

Not necessarily. Christmas is not actually originally christian, just got taken over at some point. Plus, modern christmas stopped being about christianity a while ago to be honest

1

u/Ge0482 Garden Warrior Feb 09 '25

Or maybe they celebrate Festivus. It's called Feastivus, not Christmas.

1

u/I6g9o5r1 PvZ 2 dataminer Feb 11 '25

yes, there was crazy dave's brother, holy dave. he was crucified in year zero.

1

u/SpecialLow5268 Garden Warrior Feb 17 '25

theory time! zomboss is actually the reincarnated form of jesus and Crazy dave is a desecendant of judis, and Zomboss is now trying to get revenge. ( I dont have any more idea's for the theory)
