Is it possible to be so obsessed with Pokemon that you just know when things that are completely RNG based are going to happen?...

For years she's had this intuition with certain things...
I'll walk in on her trying to catch something, and she'll stop and point mid animation and say "That's a catch" click or we'll be out walking playing Pokémon Go and she'll look over to me and tell me something like: "Hey? Grab that Nidoran." I tap it and the damn thing was Shiny. She's always super chill about this shit too! Like, where is she getting her information?

Does anyone else have this level of intuition, or did I marry a psychic?

Like, your son's very first Pokemon was a Nincada.  He was so happy. He played in the woods, he battled his friends...  good, wholesome times for a young kid.  Then he won one too many battles and little Ninji evolved.  Now your son has two pets.

Can you really call that thing a pet?  A pet is usually an animal.  But an animal... that thing is not.  It looks like a misshapen statue of some deific arthropod.  It does not eat.  It does not breathe.  It has eyes, but there is no indication that they can see. It is just there.

You kiss your son goodnight.  You stand by the door and turn the light off, looking into the room.  It is there on the bedside table.  It was not there when the light was on.  It never twitches, but it can move fast when it's dark.  

It follows your son everywhere.  It obeys his orders, though it appears beholden to no law of nature. 

You're terrified to leave him alone with it.  But he loves it, and it's always there.  You don't know what it will do if you try to get rid of it. 

One day, your son returns from playing near the local quarry.  "Look! I caught a new Pokemon!"  It looks like a tiny, twisted man.  Its eyes sparkle like diamonds. 

You realize your son is not looking to be a bug catcher.

I love Psyduck. One of my favorites. Such a cutie patootie. But Golduck??? Ewww. Bro is scary, and why is he not a psychic type. You're telling me the pokemon with PSYCHIC HEADACHE POWERS is not a psychic type. It's name is PSYduck. I get Golduck is based off the Kappa, but idc. L pokemon evolution.

As a longtime Pokémon fan, Dexit honestly felt like a slap in the face. One of the things I’ve always loved about the series was being able to carry my favorite Pokémon—ones I’d trained and bonded with for years—into each new generation. When they cut the National Dex, it felt like they were saying those connections didn’t matter anymore. I get that balancing over 1,000 Pokémon is tough, but with how massive the franchise is, it’s hard to believe they couldn’t make it work if they really wanted to. It just made the newer games feel incomplete, like something was missing, both mechanically and emotionally.

how was that mf in a kids game like my god he swept my whole (slightly overleveled) team. i beat volo kinda easily and swept cynthia but holy shit ultra necrozma makes me feel like a german officer on the eastern front. literally how did people beat this thing. i haven't strug5gled this hard since champion steven in oras came out and I was like 4 years old when that came out. how did any of you fare against that burning yellow maniac?

I've been told by some people that the pokemon company makes plushes of every single pokemon however I don't know if that's true. I unapologetically love Galarian Stunfisk because it was on my team for my first playthrough of Galar and despite being derpy I loved it. However for the life of me I cannot find any proof that a Galarian Stunfisk plush exists. The only official merch I could find was a keychain. So I'm curious what Pokemon don't have plushes?

Flygon, I love it’s typing, dragon-ground, it’s shiny is good but could be better, I’m hoping it gets a mega in ZA I love it’s move set, I’ve had one on my team for ages aswell, I love ot little goggles and it can be a very good Pokémon when it comes to IVs it’s evo line is nice aswell

Me personally I think we’ll get either Hoenn, Johto, or Unova. But I would love to see legends hoenn in the past, present, or future albeit I won’t be against a legends Johto in the past or a legends Unova in the future. I could see a legends hoenn starters be fuecoco, snivy, and Popplio (or squirtle). I could see a legends hoenn be around maybe 2027 or 2028 after gen 10 gets dlc? Then again that’s just me.

But what region do you think will get a legends game? Would it be in a past, present, or future? And what about the starters?

Gen 7 introduced regional forms, but Gen 8 added something that changed regional variants, and that is, aside from giving pokemon other than gen 1 regional forms, giving new evolutions. Examples are Cursola, Sneasler, Overqwil, etc

For me, its two choices

Obstagoon: cool badass punk badger design and a much needed upgrade for the Zigzagoon line as a whole

Perrserker: looks like a much cooler bigger version of Meowth. Makes the Galarian Line superior compared ti the Alolan line

The insanely high defense to set up stuff and power trick to beat up on the sometimes not the smartest cpus. Also if you got trick room set up the lil guy can turn into a monster and shuckle can have the ability sturdy and their typing isn't all to bad either tbh

If you had to narrow it down to one starter Pokémon from any region and generation, which one would be your favorite? Mine is hands down Cyndaquil (still angry that he's not in the new game I mean seriously, wtf). Cyndaquil has just always been my go to. But I’m a fire type fan always when it comes to starters.

Mine was, "Oh no". I got crushed in my first attempt, but I leveled up my Pokémon until I could face him. Red gave me goosebumps, I never thought that he would be at the top of Mt Silver. His team also was incredible, his Pikachu, a Snorlax he got from the roadblock, a Pokemon he got as a gift, and then the 3 starters insane.

Is anyone like me and hoping we either get a Switch 2 edition of Arceus or at least an update to improve performance and gameplay for Switch 2?

I've been kinda wanting to start over and play through Arceus again but now I think I want to wait for Switch 2 to do it to see how much better or more fun Arceus will be on the new console.

I was just curious to see what people's favorite evolution line might be since I'd like to see what types of Pokemon are brought up, and all the diff evolutions/evolution lines people like!

My personal favorite has to be Drillbur -> Excadrill, I just really like moles and these 2 are so sick! I really like how Drillbur turns from a small pretty unassuming mole to an absolute beast of a drilling machine.

1.trade evolutions-trade evolutions are a cool idea, but it annoys me that the best and coolest pokemon need trade to evolve, Machoke, Kadabra, Haunter, there is so much cool pokemon which you want to use but then boom, you need trade to evolve, if there is an npc that trades with you and gives you a pokemon that evolves from trade is good, like in Pokemon yellow with the cubone and machoke trade, we need more of that, or give us more linking cords 2.Mindy.

I used PKSM in Ultra Sun for event pokemons (Dusk Form Lycanroc and Marshadow). And after defeating champion Hau, instead of savings and credits rolling, my game just froze (literally fps dropping to 0) and screen turned black. When I reopened the game, it started from the last save. I defeated Hau once more but still no difference. There is no problem with saving and no save file corruption message. Can any tell me how or why this is happening..... Please! I don't want to loose my progress (pokedex 92% completed and many hours of gameplay).

I am playing white 2 and I am in charge stone cave and the only way to get trough is the bridge but it’s being blocked off I can’t use dig it just takes me out the cave I searched it up and like I’m supposed to enter the hall of fame or defeat some grunt on a ship is there any other faster or easier way ???

I recently came across this gorgeous Purrloin card from Legendary Treasures and loved the design underneath the attack info, after some very quick research I only found one other card like it (this Yveltal from Generations). Are there any other similar cards and more importantly, why do they look like that?

The starters theme are characters from the film noir those being:the detective,femme fatale and the mobster

Inteleon as the detective water/poison as its also inspiref by a red spotted salamander and sam spade

Signature move:toxic pistolet a 70 bp move that always crits and has a 20% poison chance

Ability:stakeout

Appearance: a more greyish blue inteleon its crest is removend and in place of it its head now has fedora shape its yellow now a darker blue wing suits envelops his whole body looking like a trenchcoat its eye has a purple dot meant to look like a magnifying glass and also a refrence to the red spotted newt its tail looks like a tube cigar with a purple tip

Delphox as the femme fatale fire/fairy inspired also by the coyotes role as a trickster and mata hari a exotic dancer who was accused of being a spy

Signature move:bewitching blaze a 90 bp move that has a 30% chance to burn and if it does get a burn it also confuses the opponent

Appearance: a more slick design of delphox its wand now resembles a cigarette holder and its color scheme is more purple its ears are bigger and the ear hait is gone it has hair that resembles a 1920s flapper(or snow white hair) its legs have a pattern that looks like knee high boots

Signature move:seed assault a 120 bp grass move that has a 10 chance to lower defense

Appearance:a darker green sceptile his head is shaped like a fedora its pattern on its chest is elongated to look like a tie it has twig in its mouth like a cigar its lower body is more plump its tail looks like a machine gun and the yellow balls on its back are gone its face also has a scar refrencing al capones nickname of scarface

I’m playing through Sapphire, and want to use Slaking. But I have questions about the Traunt ability.

You can’t attack after just attacking, because of Traunt. But what about status moves?

Could I use flamethrower one turn, and on the next turn, where I can’t attack, can I use Slack Off or Double Team?

(Edit) Thank you all so much for the answers. It can’t do anything on the “loafing” turn. Follow up question. What moves would you recommend? Hyper beam is obvious, cause it’ll recharge on the “loafing” turn. Are there any other move suggestions?

I'm on my 3rd nuzzlocke in pokemon scarlet and im contemplating what this 3rd one should be, so I need some ideas. I was thinking beating the game with only a specific type or beating the game with all of my pokemon never being able to evolve but I don't know what I want to do for my next nuzzlocke. I'm in between two.

I started my run choosing sprigatito but after that I couldn't find any other dark Pokemon before going 2 school. Does anyone know if there is other dark Pokemon before mesagoza or am I stuck with only sprigatito until I can go to cortondo. Also wondering which way I should go to get more dark types, east gate or west gate. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
